Terms & Conditions – Tanzania Beauty Safaris

Welcome to Tanzania Beauty Safaris (TBS). By booking a safari, tour, or travel service with us, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully, as they form the legal agreement between you (the client) and Tanzania Beauty Safaris.

1. Booking & Reservations

  • A booking is confirmed once TBS receives a deposit of 30% of the total tour cost (unless otherwise stated).
  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the tour start date.
  • Bookings made within 30 days of departure require full payment at the time of booking.
  • All clients must provide accurate personal information, including full names (as in passport), nationality, and dietary or medical needs at the time of booking

2. Payments

  • Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or other agreed methods.
  • Bank charges, transfer fees, or currency conversion fees are the responsibility of the client.
  • Prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Cancellations must be made in writing (email accepted).
  • The following charges apply:
    • 60+ days before safari: Full refund minus administration/bank fees.
    • 30–59 days before safari: 50% refund of total cost.
    • 15–29 days before safari: 25% refund of total cost.
    • 0–14 days before safari or no-show: No refund.
  • Refunds will be processed within 30 working days.

Note: Certain services such as flights, gorilla permits, or third-party bookings may be non-refundable once purchased.

4. Alterations & Amendments

  • TBS reserves the right to modify itineraries, routes, accommodations, or services due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, park regulations, flight delays, or safety concerns.
  • If alternative services of lower value are provided, clients will be refunded the difference. If higher-value services are required, clients will be informed and must cover the additional cost.

5. Travel Insurance

  • All clients are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering:
    • Medical expenses & emergency evacuation
    • Trip cancellation & curtailment
    • Loss of baggage & personal items
    • Personal accident coverage
  • TBS will not be held liable for expenses arising from lack of insurance coverage.

6. Health & Medical Conditions

  • Safaris involve travel to remote areas with limited medical facilities. Clients should be in reasonably good health.
  • Clients are responsible for obtaining any necessary vaccinations, malaria prophylaxis, and medical advice before travel.
  • Any existing medical conditions must be disclosed to TBS prior to booking.

7. Liability & Responsibility

  • TBS acts only as an agent for hotels, airlines, lodges, transport companies, and other service providers. We are not liable for loss, injury, damage, delay, or irregularity caused by third parties.
  • Participation in safaris involves risks (wildlife encounters, road travel, etc.). By booking with TBS, clients accept these risks.
  • TBS is not liable for loss or damage to baggage, personal belongings, or travel documents.

8. Client Responsibilities

  • Clients must carry valid passports, visas, travel insurance, and health certificates.
  • Clients must follow instructions from TBS guides and staff, especially regarding safety in wildlife areas.
  • TBS reserves the right to terminate the tour of any client whose behavior is unsafe, illegal, or disruptive, without refund.

9. Force Majeure

TBS will not be liable or responsible for failure to perform its obligations if such failure is caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, pandemics, etc.)
  • Political instability, strikes, or government restrictions
  • Flight cancellations or delays
  • Acts of terrorism or war

In such cases, TBS will make every effort to reschedule or adjust the itinerary, but additional costs may apply.

10. Children Policy

  • Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
  • Child discounts may apply depending on age, accommodation, and tour type.
  • Some safaris (e.g., walking safaris, balloon safaris) may have minimum age restrictions.

11. Complaints & Disputes

  • Any complaints must be reported immediately to your guide or TBS office to allow us to resolve issues during the safari.
  • Unresolved disputes will be handled under the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.

12. Privacy & Data Protection

  • TBS respects client privacy and will only use personal data for booking purposes, communication, and service improvement.
  • Client information will not be shared with third parties except where necessary to fulfill bookings.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed under the laws of Tanzania. By booking with TBS, clients submit to the jurisdiction of Tanzanian courts.
