Best Time to Visit
The best time for a Tanzania safari is during the dry season (late June to October), ideal for wildlife viewing as animals gather around water sources, and the Great Migration features dramatic river crossings in the Serengeti (July-August). The short dry season (January-February) offers clear skies and fewer crowds, perfect for photography. The green season (March-May) brings lush landscapes and lower rates, though light rains may occur. For the Ngorongoro Crater, year-round access ensures excellent wildlife sightings, with February being prime for wildebeest calving in the Serengeti.

This area is teeming with wildlife, particularly during the Great Migration months (July to October). Expect to see wildebeest, lions, leopards, and more. Tonight, rest at Serengeti Wilderness Camp, a luxury tented camp that provides an immersive bush experience without sacrificing comfort.
Wake up early for the once-in-a-lifetime chance to take a hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti (optional $540). Drift silently above the plains, witnessing wildlife from a unique perspective as the sun rises.
